Both myself & my 12 year old daughter walked out of the office talking about how nice everyone in the office is. The front desk team were wonderful, the nurses were both so kind & friendly, and Dr. MacLean is so knowledgeable and really listens & comes up with a solid plan for treatment. I’d also like to mention that when I reached out via the portal a month or so ago, I received a message from a nurse that day, and a phone call from Dr. MacLean the next day, with an after visit report in her chart just from our phone call, all of which I really appreciated. This office as a whole is fantastic. Thank you for all you do!
He was very conscientious. He said if my insurance did not cover my medicine, please let him know. Also, he gave me a great tip on where to find affordable allergy medicine at one of the stores and at an affordable price, if not covered by my insurance, I appreciate that. He even wrote it down, so I didn’t forget he must know me well!

Dr. Maclean gave me all the info I needed for the upcoming allergy season. I love the hand-outs he gave me which explain which over-the-counter meds to take and which trees are in bloom for each month.

The doctor is attentive. He is very clear and in fact, he is so clear that I hardly needed an interpreter. The nurse is excellent. Dr. James MacLean is a board-certified allergist who has been practicing on the North Shore of Boston since 2000. He received his MD degree from McGill University School of Medicine before completing an internal medicine residency at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Canada. Dr. James MacLean completed his allergy and immunology fellowship training at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston and remains on the faculty of the MGH and Harvard Medical School.
